About Genoa Soccer Club
Genoa Soccer Club (GSC) is a recreational youth soccer program based in Genoa, Ohio. We are proud members of the East Suburban Soccer League (ESSL) alongside Rossford, Eastwood, Lake, Woodmore, Northwood, Oak Harbor, Oregon, Otsego, Tiffin, Port Clinton and Bellevue.
Both the ESSL and Genoa Soccer Club are affiliated with the Ohio Soccer Association (OSA), which provides the organizational framework for youth recreational soccer across the state.
Our Philosophy
We believe soccer should be fun, inclusive, and accessible to every child — regardless of experience or ability. There are no tryouts at Genoa Soccer Club. Every player is welcome, every player plays at least 50% of each game, and every player has the opportunity to grow.
Our program is designed to help children learn the game, build confidence, make friends, and most importantly — enjoy themselves.
Sportsmanship
Genoa Soccer Club and the ESSL maintain a zero tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike conduct, inappropriate language, and any form of physical altercation. This applies to players, coaches, and spectators alike. We play soccer for the fun of it — and we expect everyone on and off the field to represent that spirit.
Volunteer-Run
Genoa Soccer Club is run entirely by volunteers. Every board member, coordinator, and coach gives their time freely because they believe in what this program does for kids and families in our community.
If you’d like to get involved — whether as a coach, a board member, or in another support role — we’d love to hear from you. Reach out at genoarecsoccer@gmail.com or visit our Contact page.
