Genoa Soccer Club is run entirely by volunteers. Every board member, coordinator, and coach gives their time freely because they believe in what this program does for kids and families in our community.
Whether you can give 2 hours a season or 15, there is a role here that fits your life. No soccer experience required. No long-term obligation before you're ready. Just a willingness to show up for the kids in Genoa.

What You Get For Giving Your Time
Coaches receive a coach shirt each season as a thank-you for their time on the field. Board members and key volunteers receive Genoa Soccer Club apparel and genuine appreciation from a program that doesn't take its people for granted.
Beyond that — we work hard each season to recognize and celebrate the people who make this program run. Every volunteer matters here, and we make sure they know it.

Genoa Rec Soccer — Core Board Positions
President — Currently Filled
Overall program leadership, community relationships, and final decision-making. (10-15 hrs/season)
Vice President — Currently Filled
Supports the President and serves as the succession designate. (6-10 hrs/season)
Treasurer — Currently Filled
Manages all program finances — expenses, reimbursements, and seasonal budget. (Under 10 hrs/season)
Secretary — Currently Filled
Keeps the program organized — meeting notes, records, and SOP maintenance. (4-6 hrs/season)
Field & Equipment Coordinator — Currently Filled
Field setup, equipment management, and coordination with field partners. (6-10 hrs/season)
Referee Coordinator — Currently Filled
Schedules and pays referees for all U8-U14 home games each season. (6-8 hrs/season)
Genoa Rec Soccer — Coordinator & Volunteer Roles
Registration & Communications Coordinator — OPEN
Monitors the program Gmail inbox and manages the LeagueOne registration portal. (4-6 hrs/season)
Social Media Coordinator — OPEN
Keeps both Facebook pages active with game day photos, announcements, and updates. (1-2 hrs/week during season)
OSA Risk Management Coordinator — OPEN
Tracks coach background checks, SafeSport, and concussion certifications. (2-4 hrs at season start)
U4-U6 Jersey & Apparel Coordinator — Currently Filled
Coordinates jersey and apparel pickup and distribution for our youngest players. (4-6 hrs in July/August)
U8-U14 Jersey Coordinator — Currently Filled
Uploads rosters to Soccer.com and sends reminders when jerseys are available. (Under 2 hrs — fully remote)
Summer Camp Coordinator — Currently Filled
Organizes registrant spreadsheet and shirt order for Genoa HS Summer Soccer Camp. (3-5 hrs in July)
Bowling Party Coordinator — Currently Filled
Reserves the venue and coordinates our end-of-season family celebration. (2 phone calls + optional day-of)
Coach Appreciation Coordinator — OPEN
Organizes a meaningful season-end thank-you for our volunteer coaches. (2-3 hrs at end of season)
Genoa Premier United — Board & Team Support
GPU board positions and team manager roles are currently being filled as theGPU board formally establishes. If you are connected to the GPU program and interested in serving in a leadership or team support capacity, please indicate that in the form below and we will be in touch as positions are confirmed.

Comet Academy — Camp & Program Support
Comet Academy Camp Volunteer — OPEN
Help with on-field sessions, player check-in, logistics, and family fun night events. A great fit for coaches, former players, or anyone who loves working with kids. (Session-based — flexible commitment)
Additional Academy support roles will be defined as programming develops. Express interest below and we will reach out when the right opportunity arises.
