Where Does Your Player Fit?

Genoa Soccer Club is one organization with three distinct pathways — each designed to meet players where they are and help them grow into who they're becoming.

Whether your child is lacing up cleats for the first time or preparing to compete at the travel level, there is a place for them here.

Rec Soccer — Community • Fundamentals

Genoa Rec Soccer is the foundation of everything we do. Open to every child ages 3 through 14 — no tryouts, every child plays, run entirely by volunteers who care about this community.

Rec is where players learn the game, build confidence, make friends, and discover whether soccer is something they love. It is not a stepping stone. It is the program.

Two seasons per year — Spring and Fall.

Comet Academy — Development • Preparation

The Comet Academy is the bridge between recreational soccer and competitive travel. Designed for players who want to develop their skills in a focused, intentional environment — whether they're preparing for GPU tryouts, looking for a summer camp experience, or wanting to stay sharp with winter indoor sessions.

Small groups. Personal attention. Character development woven into every session. More details and registration information coming soon.

Genoa Premier United — Competition • Performance

Genoa Premier United is the competitive travel arm of Genoa Soccer Club — for players ready to take their game to the next level. GPU competes in the Northwest Ohio Youth Soccer League (NWOYSL) with teams at multiple age levels.

GPU players are Genoa Soccer Club players. The same community, the same values,a higher level of commitment and competition.

Tryouts are held annually in late May. Open to all players.

Not Sure Where to Start?

Start with Rec. Every GPU player started somewhere, and for most of them it was right here in a Genoa Rec Soccer jersey.
